Soil Conditions:           Sand, sandy clay and clay
Soil Obstructions:        Mostly old foundations from the times of the big earthquake that
                                         destroyed most of the downtown Lisbon in 1755. Some fluid loss
                                         experienced with the first 6’ of excavation after the guide wall, due 
                                         to very loose sandy layer and fill.
