Marsh Funnel
Viscosity and gel strengths are measurements that relate to the flow properties of fluids. The Marsh Funnel has been used for many years to obtain an indication of the relative viscosity of drilling fluids. It is calibrated to outflow one quart of fresh water at 70±5° in 26±0.5 seconds.

Marsh Measuring Cup
This measuring cup is graduated in fluid ounces (2 - 32) and cubic centimeters (100 - 1000) and is designed to be used with the Marsh Funnel.

Mud Balance w/o Case
One of the most important things that is monitored throughout drilling is mud density. This mud balance is built to withstand the rigors of field testing and reduce the need for recalibrating. It has an enlarged, easy to read scale for clear and accurate reading.  It has the two most commonly used scales: lbs/gal, and specific gravity ( g/cm3).

pH Strips
KB offers our customers pH strips that meet all testing guidelines.  These pH strips are non-bleeding, multi-color strips.  They have a range from 0-14 with a 1.0 pH unit.  These strips can be used in most conditions but are not reliable in salt water and some very dark contiminated water.

Slurry Sampler
KB's unique Slurry Sampler allows for precision slurry sampling at any point in the excavation.  The innovative design entraps a sample at the desired depth and locks the slurry into the canister, not allowing it to mix with slurry at any other level of the excavation.  Precision sampling is very important in order to check and maintain proper viscosity, pH, and specific gravity.

Sand Content Kit
The Sand Content Kit allows you to determine the volume percent of sand-sized particles in drilling fluid. The kit contains the following: 500ml wash bottle, 200 mesh sand screen, plastic funnel, graduated glass sand tube, all in a convenient carrying case.

This 100ml glass measuring tube is graduated to read from 0 to 20%, for the percentage of sand in a mud sample.

Portable Slurry Lab
This portable slurry lab is designed for measuring slurry properties in the field. It allows laboratory -quality measurements of viscosity, specific gravity/density, pH, and sand content. It includes the following: 4-scale mud balance, marsh funnel, marsh measuring cup, stopwatch, pH strips (box of 100), and the following parts of the sand content kit: 200 mesh sand screen, plastic funnel, and graduated glass sand tube. It comes a convenient plastic carrying case.
