KUZMIN – SREMSKA RACA HIGHWAY BRIDGE

Scremsca Raja, Serbia across Sea River to Bosnia

Located in Sremsca Raja, Serbia, across the Sava River to Bosnia, our recent project involved the construction of 42 rotary bored piles, each with a diameter of 1500mm and depths reaching 35m. KB provided on-site expertise and oversight during the initial two weeks of works. To ensure optimal performance, KB utilized SlurryPro CDP, Enhancit 100, Enhancit 200, Magma Fiber, and KobbleBlok.

The ground conditions at the project site presented unique challenges, consisting of riverbed deposits, sand with clay deposits and high cobble content, and sandy clay terminating in sand. These varying layers required careful navigation during the drilling process. During startup KB encountered fluid loss challenges, particularly on select piles where shorter temporary casings were used and the cobble deposits had less sand cementing. To mitigate this, KB effectively deployed Magma Fiber and Kobble Blok, successfully controlling fluid loss and ensuring the stability of the piles.

Despite the complexities of the ground conditions, KB’s expertise and the strategic use of advanced products enabled the successful completion of the project.
