Rio Puerto Nuevo Flood Control Project

JPI Construction LLC contacted KB in early 2020 to carry out the Rio Puerto Nuevo Flood Control Project for the U.S. Army Core of Engineers consisting of piles 1500 mm in diameter and more than 30 meters deep.
Due to the strict fluid specifications for the project, KB opted to utilize our SlurrySMART system which allowed JPI to keep the sand content below 1% at all times while at the same time maintaining total stability in the pile until concrete placement. JPI also successfully utilized InstaFREEZE to stabilize a running sands in a particular area of the project.
The project was a success for JPI and KB proving that the drilling with polymer is an effective method in the San Juan area.
