The Taiwan High Speed Rail stretches from Taipei to Kaosiung. The foundations for sections 206 and 207 were awarded to Trevi Taiwan and consisted of 425,000 cubic meters of bored piles of 1.8 meters in diameter and 45 meters deep. The primary soil conditions were silty sands and cobbles.
Trevi Foundations Taiwan contacted KB International to design and manage a polymer fluid system that would stabilize the weak sands and control fluid loss around the cobbles. Having a presence in Southeast Asia allowed KB to provide the product and support necessary to assist the client.
