Torre de Control Nuevo Aeropuerto de Lima

Lima, Peru

Pilotes Terratest Perú was tasked with the challenge of installing the foundations for a control tower at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, Peru. Due to their experience in other regions of South America Pilotes Terratest trusted KB’s polymer system to provide bore hole stability. The project consisted of 40 piles of more than 35 m depth and 1500mm in diameter.

Lima has some of the most difficult drilling conditions in all of South America with a formation made up mostly of cobbles, gravel and sand. Using KB’s Enhaced SlurryPRO CDP system, Pilotes Terratest was able to maintain stability and prevent fluid loss into the formation.
